Our GET READY TO RIDE ™ program gives coming
two year olds a huge advantage when it comes time to
ride. It’s started later in the Fall of their yearling
year so they’re ready to get on in January. If they’ve
gone through our YEARLING HEAD START ™ program they benefit
greatly from continuing their education with the GET READY TO RIDE ™ program.
It’s all aimed toward their career under saddle and
doesn’t simply end with showing longe line. When done
correctly this training only advances their education in
a positive way and can be done as a yearling rather than
waiting until they’re two.
If they haven’t gone through YEARLING HEAD START ™ they need this
program even more! If a horse is first given the
opportunity to gain balance, strength, mental confidence
and to learn how to move with a slow cadenced jog and
lope before anyone gets on their back, they will have
less resistance, less trauma and fewer soundness issues
as a two year old. Consistent light work with a good
nutritional program produces a horse that has the size,
bone and mental ability to not only be ridden in January
but to shine under saddle at a time when Trainers are
picking their slot horses for the upcoming big money
classes.
Trainers that get them love how easy it makes their job
and prospective Buyers are better able to see what
they’re buying. Our ‘Head Start’ horses are much more
advanced physically and mentally and are better able to
hold up under the stress of riding. They take things
with an easy go with the flow kind of attitude because
every stage of training is introduced one step at a
time. If selling is your goal your yearling will be much
more attractive to Buyers…if training is your goal your
yearling will be much farther ahead. Horses that haven’t
gone through this program have a lot of catching up to
do!
